Mammograms Saves Lives

Among women, breast cancer is diagnosed more than any other form of cancer. According to American Cancer Society statistics, women with low incomes or without health insurance are less likely to receive mammograms. This lack of access results in decreased early detection and survival rates. The Foundation became involved with Summa Screens, a cancer screening program in 2014 and continues to support free mammograms, breast ultrasounds, surgical consultations and closed breast biopsies to low-income, uninsured or underinsured women and men. Call 330.375.6364 at any time to leave your contact information. A Summa Health professional will return your call and assist you with the qualification process. Once qualified to receive free breast services, all you have to do is confirm you have a physician to ensure full understanding of the results. If you don’t have a physician, we can refer you to community agencies that can assist you.
