Emphasizing Education
Each year approximately 40 backpacks are provided to Akron Children’s Hematology/Oncology department for distribution. Backpacks include necessities such as notebooks, writing instruments, writing pads, notecards, pencil sharpeners, hand sanitizer, scissors, glue sticks, protractors, tissues, glue, rulers, post it notes, three ring binders, a lunch box or bag, and other specially selected items along with a gift card for any additional materials the students may need.
