About the Event
The Event is “the event” to attend in Akron every other year to support our local cancer community. We always look forward to hosting close to 800 people in a must experience, full of surprise, backyard under the stars tent. The Event is our largest biennial fundraiser which enables us to provide direct financial support to those touched by cancer living or receiving treatment in Summit County. This year’s celebration features Kool & The Gang live, dinner by Beau’s Grille, a live auction, and dancing all night long.

The singular fundraiser the foundation hosts is a biennial gathering of our top supporters for a memorable evening of fantastic food, creative decor, and showstopping live entertainment. Aptly named The Event, this fundraiser has been hosted every other year since 2006. The Event is intimately held under the evening stars in a larger than life temperature controlled tent, bringing the outdoors, in. We hope you can join us for our next Event.
