Sunshine Bags
Sunshine Bag contents are not clinical supplies. They are small gestures of care, chosen to bring a sense of calm and comfort to those early, tender days of treatment. Because every journey deserves a little sunshine.
A little light at the start of the journey
The first day of cancer treatment can feel overwhelming — a threshold between the life you knew and the road ahead. We wanted to meet patients right at that moment with something simple, warm, and human. That is the heart of Sunshine Bags.
Each Sunshine Bag is given to every newly diagnosed cancer patient beginning treatment at one of our local partner hospitals. Tucked inside is a carefully curated collection of comfort items:
-
a soft blanket
-
a journal
-
specialized lotions and chapstick
-
a water bottle
-
soothing teas
-
snacks
-
and cozy socks among other items.
Useful supplies for newly diagnosed cancer patients
“I wanted to thank you for such a wonderful gift bag. The items you put in your bag are things you really need and can use. All of the items are very useful. I love the gray baseball hat. I am not a fan of the color pink and every company wants to give out those bright pink shirts and hats. I just wanted to let you know that your gift is very useful. It was very thoughtful for your family to create this organization.”
